Location
Tanzania as far as the eye can see
Set on a rocky point in Tarangire National Park, Maweninga Camp overlooks a sea of baobabs, golden savannahs and rolling hills.
Tarangire Park is renowned for its high elephant density, wide variety of wildlife, discreet predators and centuries–old baobab forests. An exclusive camp, nestled in the heart of the wilderness, far from busy roads. Its position on the granite rocks offers a unique panorama at sunrise and especially at sunset.
A privileged, peaceful place for observation where nature imposes its rhythm and power.

The world at your feet
Maweninga Camp ‘s tents are set into the side of a rock, each with a private terrace opening onto the majestic emptiness of the savannah.
The interior design is simple, warm and functional: double bed, rough–hewn wooden furniture, en–suite bathroom with shower. The lighting is solar–powered (24/24), the fabrics evoke African lands, and the comfort is total, despite the isolation.
From the tent, you can sometimes see giraffes and elephants on the horizon. We fall asleep to the sound of the wind in the acacias and wake up to the songs of the birds... in total harmony with the scenery.

Endless views over the valley, stars like nowhere else, and a unique sense of freedom. Everything is solar–powered, including the hot water.
